Variety reported a while back that Dark Star Pictures has acquired the rights to Rose’s upcoming romantic drama, Brampton’s Own, and has set a theatrical release for this fall. With the new information came the first official trailer and the film’s official poster, which have now been added to our gallery! The film will also be available on digital platforms on October 19th, and I will of course add screen captures from the film shortly after. While waiting for the release, make sure to check out the trailer below, and you can find screen captures from it in our gallery!

Dark Star Pictures has acquired the romantic drama “Brampton’s Own,” slating the film for a multi-city theatrical release this fall.

The baseball-centric romance, written and directed by Michael Doneger, will also be made available on digital platforms and through local cable providers on Oct. 19.

Acquired by Dark Star from Cloverhill Pictures, “Brampton’s Own” stars Alex Russell of “SWAT” and Rose Mclver (“iZombie”). Spencer Grammer, Scott Porter, John Getz and Jean Smart are in supporting roles.

Russell portrays a retired minor league baseball player who has returned to his small hometown where he was once a celebrated athlete and finds his old friends have started families, his ex-girlfriend is now engaged, and his mom is selling his childhood home and moving in with her new boyfriend.

The film was produced by Doneger’s Cloverhill Pictures, Mark DiCristofaro in association with his company Perspective Productions, and co-produced by Matthew Harper. The film had its world premiere at the Nashville Film Festival.

Hello friends! I have now caught up on iZombie season 4, by adding screencaps from the missing episodes which aired after I closed the site in May. There’s 4 total, and you can find links to all below! My favorites are the caps from episode 12, “You’ve Got To Hide Your Liv Away” – Rose/Liv looked gorgeous in the scenes of her and Major on old, happy couple brains (who turned out to not be all that happy after all…). All in all I thought it was another great season, and Rose once again impressed with every episode! Enjoy the new additions to our site, and stay tuned for “Brampton’s Own” updates up next.

Hello Roses! Have you missed us? After a 5 months long break, I have decided to bring Rose McIver Online back online. Back in May it felt like it was the right decision to close the doors of Rose-McIver.com, but I’ve been missing the site too much since parting with it. Next year it’ll be 10 years since we created the very first version of the site, and despite a couple of breaks over the years, it’s been following Rose’s career from her early days in Hollywood. With iZombie going into its fifth and final season, I definitely didn’t want to miss covering the show one final time, as it has become one of Rose’s most known and loved projects to date. While I wish the show could go on, I’m really happy they were given a season to wrap up the story – and I want to say goodbye to our favorite zom-com-rom-dram by following it with you all here at the site.

I will catch up with the missing season 4 photos and screen captures of iZombie up first, as well as everything related to Rose’s upcoming film “Brampton’s Own”. But for our first update back, I’ve updated our gallery with 4 high quality photos of Rose at the Fan Expo Canada on September 1st! Check them out below, and be sure to visit us again soon for many new updates!

Hello Brainies! How great was last night’s new iZombie episode? I really loved this episode, and Rose was amazing as a rapper. She keeps impressing every single week! The full episode page will be up eventually, but for now you can find HD screen captures in our gallery, and some gorgeous twitter avatars over at ¡PixieDust! here (our graphics archive). These were created by my very talented friend over at Tom Holland Fan – every one should pay her incredible site a visit! These are free for all of you to use, so spread some Rose love to your twitter followers. Enjoy the update!

The official promo for next week’s iZombie episode, “Yipee Ki Brain, Motherscratcher“, are now up! You can check it out below. I have also added some information on the new episode, including the episode synopsis. Rose was not featured in any of the episode stills for this episode, but you can check out the ones of the rest of the cast here at Far Far Away Site if you are interested! It looks like yet another good episode.

RICO COLANTONI (“VERONICA MARS”) DIRECTS THE EPISODE — When Liv (Rose McIver) consumes the brain of a vice detective who doesn’t play by the rules, her newfound recklessness gets her into trouble. Meanwhile, Major (Robert Buckley) is coming really close to discovering Liv’s secret. Rahul Kohli, Malcolm Goodwin, David Anders, Aly Michalka and Robert Knepper also star. Rico Colantoni directed the episode written by Chelsea Catalanotto (#410). Original airdate 5/7/2018.

Hello fellow brainies! Episode stills from the season finale of iZombie are now out, and it looks like we’re in for a fun (and a little weird?) episode. We don’t have an episode synopsis just yet, but the episode is titled “You’ve got to hide your Liv away“. Enjoy the new stills!

As we’ve written several times here at the site in the past, last year Rose teamed up with Emirates Airline for a promotional campaign titled “Roam the World with Rose“. She traveled to several European cities, including the beautiful Czech capital Prague. She has written a piece for the NZ Herald about her time in the popular city, which you can now read below! For more information about the campaign check out our page here, or our news archive here.

A guided tour and a ballet performance were perfect for an unplanned visit, writes Rose McIver.

I knew painfully little about Prague before my arrival in the city. So I decided to take that “when in Rome” adage and run with it in the Czech Republic’s capital. To get to know the city, its history and culture, I signed up for two events. The first was a guided walking tour through Prague Castle, hoping it wasn’t going to be too academic or dull. Fortunately, Martina, the guide was a personable local with a gift for storytelling and, because of this, I found the information much easier to absorb. I wished I’d been on more tours of this nature in my travels and highly recommend it, although it’s worth noting there are both good and bad versions, so reading reviews online beforehand will save you from a dreary tour.

One thing you can’t be saved from though, is the weather. We had a great deal of rain while we walked, so everyone in our small group bought souvenir store umbrellas, which flipped inside-out at the first gust of wind. Looking at the rubbish bins stuffed with dodgy umbrellas I was reminded immediately of Wellington, and Cuba St’s own Brolly Graveyard bins. Still, the inclement Prague weather helped set the scene for a moody, medieval history lesson and was actually very refreshing after a morning of hot sun.

Although I was expecting one enormous building; the castle is in fact a collection of buildings. Chapels, cathedrals, banquet halls and guard’s quarters were among the huge collection of structures that made up the castle. Martina told us a couple of tragic tales about the martyrs and saints recognised in Prague, but I will spare you the gruesome details. The architecture of the castle represents almost every era of the last millennium, having been built over a very long period of time. It includes Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque styles.

The second thing I did was go to a ballet, because I knew it would be a good opportunity to be entertained without having to deal with the language barrier. It was a wonderful reminder of the power of the body to communicate when words can’t. I danced as a child, and whenever I see dancers perform, I immediately light up and feel like a little girl again, wowed by the grace, discipline and sensitivity to music.

This production was a selection of dances from Swan Lake, and it was a nice, packed theatre. The principal dancers were extraordinary, both as athletes and artists. And while the language barrier didn’t dissipate, learning how to say “hello”, “please” and “thank you” in Czech did make the journey immeasurably more pleasant.

Locals appreciate it, even if you run into a dead-end as soon as someone takes the conversation further. Thank goodness for phone apps, such as Duolingo. I’ve been fortunate to try out my newly learned Czech phrases and have the opportunity to explore Europe and highly recommend finding the time in your busy lives to make the easy journey and investigate it for yourselves.

As New Zealanders, I feel like we have an eagerness to celebrate different cultures, art, history and the way the world influences us. Travel helps us to develop empathy and understanding of others, and it provides education and incredible memories to bring home and share. | NZherald

Hello Roses! It’s been a while since I’ve sat down and worked on our pages, so I decided to go over them today and check where I could make some updates. I’ve done minor adjustments to several pages, including completing our Roam with Rose page, updating our trivia and quotes pages and fixing the music videos page. But I’ve also created 3 new pages: I’ve (finally) created a page for Broods’ Heartlines music video, which Rose starred in back in 2016. After that I began on an Accessories page over at our style section, which has been requested several times over the years (this is still a work in progress – 2015 to 2017 accessories will be up soon). This is the first of many upcoming style page updates!

As for today’s biggest update, I’ve created a new page called Magazines, where you can read about Rose’s magazine spreads. To make it as complete as possible, I’ve also typed up several interviews and articles which I have added to our press archive in full. While none of these interviews were written by me originally (source is always included on the page), it has taken me a long time to type up all of them for you from old and hardly readable magazine scans and videos. Therefore, please do not just copy them and re-post somewhere else. There’s a lot of great new-old interviews in there which I loved re-reading – I especially love the Remix Magazine one from 2010! I will work on adding 2017 and 2018 articles and interviews up next.

I hope you enjoy these kinds of updates, and feel free to come with requests if there’s something in particular you would like me to work on next. While our site is pretty complete content wise at this point, it’s always possible to improve – and I want to give you all the best possible Rose resource!

Power Rangers R.P.M was one of the first Rose projects we covered on our site back in the day, and I know it’s a show which introduced many of you to Miss McIver. I’ve wanted to complete our screencaps section of the show for quite some time now, however it’s been hard to track down the episodes in a quality which it was worth making screen captures in … But now, thanks to my good friend over at Julianne Hough Online, I finally got my hands on the final 8 episodes we were missing in decent quality! It’s been almost two years since our last Power Rangers update, so it was definitely overdue.

While these screen captures are in no way HD like our more recent projects (such as iZombie), we are very lucky to have these considering how old they are now. Rose looked so beautiful as Summer / Ranger Yellow! The caps include a lot of pretty close ups, and I also added a few shots of her in the Yellow Ranger suit for those who want those for graphic purposes. Now that the section is complete, I will start working on the show page, with an episode guide, show information, videos and more. Check back later for that one, and enjoy the new screen captures for now!

With 2017 being a rather slow year Photoshoots-wise (not counting the San Diego Comic Con that is), we’ve been itching for some new Rose shoots for a few months now. And now we finally have one! Earlier this year, Rose did a new photoshoot with the talented photographer Dean O’Gorman, an actor, artist and photographer from Rose’s home country New Zealand – some of you might know him as the dwarf Fili in the Hobbit trilogy!

I added the first two shots from the photoshoot about a month ago (which immediately became popular judging by the views), and today Rose shared two more photos from the session. This one goes straight into my favorite photoshoots of hers! Enjoy the pretty over at our gallery.
